I can't begin to explain how increasingly annoyed I am becoming with you little bastards on various websites around the internet, who feel the need to post about how tired you are of bands "selling out".

First of all, I bet 3/4 of you are using the word without fully knowing its meaning. You all seem to get angry when the bands you have been "liek the numb3r 1 fan of Since before they were like ev3n FamOus...like!" (even though you probably only started liking them when you heard their songs being played over and over again on mtv)...begin to rise to stardom. Do you really expect them to stay at the same level in the music industry forever? Just because they were "way cooler before they sold out'? Chances are if a band doesn't make it big they won't continue to keep playing the same small gigs in the same small and shitty venues...the rent needs to be paid one way or another!

You should be proud that these people are able to make money from the music they create. And yes, many of these bands do change their sound and may not be as "hardxcore" as they once were but, that doesn't mean they have completely sold out. And now to my next rant. I was lurking though various comments on video's around youtube and I came across one which made me grunt out loud at its stupidity. Here is is (I copied and pasted it so I can't take the blame for the shitty spelling)

"I have ben a fan of this band befor they where even famous, i own all there cds even though they have sold out now and i only liek there olds stuff, but tehy are still ok i guess. so i think I would be considered a bigger fan than you are"

First of all, Artist's who are signed to major labels only recieve a very small fraction of the money made from their album sales. So, the $20 you just spent isn't going to make that much of a difference. Owning all of a bands album's and a shitload of merch doesn't make you a bigger fan than anyone else! Some kid may have downloaded an entire album from LimeWire and still have the same dedication to the band as you do.

The truth is people change and so do bands...so deal with it, and quit whining about how they are "selling out". You are just people on the internet and it's sad that YOU think that your oppinion of music matters...It doesn't!

I'm serious, if I read one more thing about "omgz they liek totally sold out maing"...I will smack you!
